DG Charley..... a living legend

  

This month in the Holstein International a true tribute to one of the most successful bulls ever from Europe, DG Charley. As the sire of many bulls like Hurtgenlea Richard Charl, VH Crown, Veelhorst DG Casino and many others, is his influence within the Holstein Breed well established. The bull, bred by Diamond Genetics, is still one of the most in-demand bulls at Genus/ABS. Diamond Genetics is still working with multiple animals from the family, including one of the highest kgM milk daughters in the DG breeding program: DG DV Christa sired by Charl out of a Eldorado daughter from a Josuper daughter from DG Caley VG-86-NL 2yr. backed by broodcows Larcrest Cale VG-89-USA and Larcrest Crimson EX-94-USA. Another successfull heiefer is DG Pangea Pp, with a Net Merit higher than +1047 NM$ she is one of the highest polled animals worldwide. Pangea Pp is also A2A2 and BB and has +2906 GTPI. DG Pangea Pp is a Monument P daughter out of Charl daughter DG Patsy, who is again the full sister of DG Paul at AI Total (Charl x Bourbon).
